It's sleek and narrow, so it won't take up a ton of space in your room, and it looks surprisingly cool! It comes with a remote control so you can turn it on from your bed, and the LED lights turn off in sleep mode, so you don't need to worry about being disturbed.

Promising review: "I am elderly and live in Texas where we have 100+ degree heat on a daily basis in the summer. This is, hands down, the best and most powerful fan I have experienced. I love it so much that I bought a second one for my sister who is heat sensitive. She got rid of the two tower fans she was using as this fan cooled her room." —TJ

Promising review: "This was my family's favorite float this summer. It can be used a number of ways and when laying down, it felt like a hammock in the water (this was great for the 100+ degree weather). I bought a few different brands for our pool this summer and this one was our top pick. We would constantly race to get to it first... and it's one of the cheaper ones that I bought! I bought only one this year to try out but i'll be buying a couple more of these for next summer. Very comfy and survived the one summer so far." —Mar T

Promising review: "Love that I don't have to dig one out from behind a seat or something. You just grab the tab and pull it over to connect to cup on the driver's side. Reduces the amount of heat in my car, steering wheel and surfaces are cool to the touch after a 90–100-degree day. Caution, when disconnecting, hang on to tab and slowly put back into closed position, otherwise you will mess up the accordion folds." —millie snow

Promising review: "I’ve been searching for a large insulated cup for years that won’t cost me an arm and leg and this is it! I previous had another simply modern water bottle but after a year of dropping it a thousand times and it not holding as much water as I want I switched to this cup and I’m in love! It holds so much water and keeps ice cold for a very long time even on a hot 100-degree day in the Texas heat. Love love love this cup and the colors are so cute!!" —April M.

Promising review: "These have become my favorite sheets. I normally don't like microfiber feeling sheets but these are absolutely amazing. They don't feel hot at all even in 90 degrees NYC weather. I am very picky with sheets and tend to get very irritated at itchy cheap cotton. These are the best sheets I have ever owned and I get amazing sleep on these sheets. You can't beat it for that price! Will definitely order again." —Caroline M

Promising review: "I have been an expensive cotton sheet snob for a long time. But when I saw the reviews on the Mellanni sheets I had to give them a try. Thought microfiber would be too hot and not soft enough. Well it has been over 100 degrees here and their sheets are not hot. Also, I have paid so much for cotton sheets that were scratchy and hard feeling and the elastic on the fitted sheet wore out in less than six months. Mellanni sheets are really soft and I am glad I found them." —john andenes

I have a similar cooling blanket, because the fabric of my couch is gorgeous but...gets VERY hot in the summer — they can make all the difference!

Promising review: "I’ve never reviewed anything, but this is the real deal. I love it. I sleep hot naturally, and sleeping next to my 500-degree boyfriend is worse. I used to be up all night and would eventually move to the couch because I was so hot. This blanket cools me down and makes me super comfortable even on 95-degree days." —lizzy

Promising review: "I run really hot and I have tried so many various blankets. Well I am here to tell you, this is the one you need. I live in the southwest where temps exceed 110 degrees regularly in the summer. I used to wake up sweaty every single morning, even with the AC on. Well come to this blanket and WOW, No more waking up sweating, you can ACTUALLY feel the cooling. Almost feels as if the blanket has a built in AC. This is the blanket to get, stop searching and just order it. I promise you'll like it." —Brantley Rockwell

Promising review: "Super happy with these pillowcases - both sides are fairly cool, but the cooling side never warms up, which is wonderful in 110-degree California summers. They do not smell (something I worry about with nontraditional linen fabrics). They do tend to get a little wrinkly, but since they zip up, they quickly smooth out." —Tonia

Get them from Amazon for $15.95+ (available in standard, queen, and king sizes and in 20 colors).

Promising review: "We play with our neighbor's dog in a park nearby. In this (100 degrees real feel) weather he can go through water very quickly! But he loves his own portable 'water dish.' He was drinking the water we carry for ourselves which is really really cold and gulped it down but that upsets his tummy. We just use tap water in this and he's not having ill effects." —Sea Duck

Promising review: "Best item I have purchased for the dog all year. I saw this on a TikTok video and checked on Amazon and ordered it. My toy poodle loves it and drank out it with no hesitation. With the heat wave we are having in California right now I want to be sure she is well hydrated. Before I leave the house I fill the holder with ice and water and I am set. Easy to clean and no spilled water in the car. Easy to throw in my purse and have it when we are out walking around. I know what people with dogs are getting for Christmas this year." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "These changed my life. I am not plus sized but I do have some pretty ~thicc~ thighs. I used to come home from events/work/errands with red, bumpy, hot to the touch and very painful inner thighs. Sometimes they would BLEED. No creams or powders were working for me. I tried it all. I gave in and got these beauties and I could not BELIEVE the relief I felt. The first time I wore them was to an outdoor wedding in 90 degree, humid weather. These puppies did. not. budge. It was like magic. No friction at all. I wear them several times a week, hand wash them and air dry. They do make a quiet "swish swish" sound when you walk but I promise, nobody else can tell. Take the plunge, measure your thigh and get you some of these!" —Rebekah Lockwood

Heads up: they recently changed the packaging of this product, but it's still the same great formula!

Here's what BuzzFeed Shopping editor Ciera Velarde has to say about it: "I've used it for about 12 years now and it's the only thing that I can trust to prevent that dreaded chafing after a sweaty day of walking around. It glides on perfectly, it's unscented, and it doesn't melt away when you start to sweat. If it's a particularly hot day out, it can start to fade after a few hours, so just make sure to bring it with you to reapply. In addition to preventing chafing between my thighs, I've also applied it on my arms where my sports bra rubs against them when I run and it works like a charm!"

Promising review: "I just used it for five days in 90-degree-plus weather at Bonnaroo music festival in the middle of Tennessee on a farm in June with 100,000 people walking several miles, dancing, and sweating every day. I am happy to report that this product is a lifesaver. My thighs didn't chafe once, and I have big ones! I had to reapply once during the day. I strongly recommend buying this if you have large thighs and need relief from chafing. I couldn't wear dresses or skirts in the heat if I was walking anywhere, and now I live in them because of this stuff! Buy it! It works!" —Carwizzle

Promising review: "I started off by buying the same style curtains for my sliding glass door, it's where the sun hits in the afternoon and without running the ac it creates a sauna in my living room. Well let me tell you, I bought these more for keeping it cooler in the house in the summer as running the ac costs a lot of $$$ where I'm at...where even setting thermostat to 72 we get a $700 electric bill. I ended buying these that are same style and color for my window in my living room. It keeps the room darker which is nice for movie watching and as of right now it's 90 degrees outside and I'm in the house in light sweatpants, it literally is keeping it that cool in here (along with opening windows early morning then closing before it warms up. I looked on my electric company website and my projected bill is only $217, which they show being $150 less from this time last year! Loved the price on these as well, much better than I expected!" —Karen

Just open them, dunk them in water and close them up (so easy to fill!) and just like regular water balloons, they will delightfully splash the target of your choosing!

Promising review: "It was a hundred degrees yesterday, so we got these out for the first time. They fill up with water in just a second, pop closed right away, and do not hurt when you get hit by them! Sometimes they don't open when they hit, but that just adds to the fun because it gets thrown back at you. These are a little pricey, in my opinion, but I will likely order another set because they work great and are a lot of fun." —TKO

I just bought this fan (in the pink colorway here), and have already used it several times to quickly dry my setting spray! And it'll be a game-changer on hot subway platforms this summer waiting for the train to arrive. Check out a TikTok of the portable fan in action.

Promising review: "Swifties, you need this for the Eras tour. This fan has saved my sweaty butt a number of times now. I originally bought it for travel to the PNW — the room I was staying in had no air conditioning — but this baby lasted the whole night on my bedside table keeping me nice and cool. But really this fan proved itself during the Cincy Night 2 concert when it was 90 degrees and 80% humidity. This fan lasted the whole show at full blast as we passed it back and forth along our row to keep us all cool. It folds up small enough to fit on your clear bag & can charge your phone!! 1000000/10 stars." —Jessica Bunch

Promising review: "Seriously worth buying. I just used these when I had to stand in line for two hours for my niece's HS orientation in the hot sun. Im talking 90 degrees outside. Fortunately we were able to get into some shade after 20 minutes but the air was still so humid and hot. I had two of these pointed at my baby and he was able to take a nap in his stroller without overheating. He was visibly comfortable. No fussiness or crying. As long as my baby is safe and comfortable I'm ok. I might buy two more so I can have some pointed at me too. Lol." —v

Promising review: "I've had my Fasta Pasta cooker for about six months now and I wanted to tell everybody else who is considering buying one this: BUY IT!!! BUY IT NOW!!!! It does exactly what it says it does, better than I ever imagined. Everything about it is so simple, my helpless teenage son has started cooking his own pasta without making a mess or screwing it up!!! (You have NO IDEA how amazing that is.) We have never yet had a batch cook over in the microwave and none of it ever sticks in the cooker. You can practically wipe it clean when you're done. Pasta comes out perfect for us every time; never under cooked or over cooked. It's really great when I come in tired from work to be able to toss a couple of servings of pasta in the microwave to cook while I take a shower. No more endless waiting for giant pots of water to boil on the stove (It's ninety degrees outside. My air conditioner really doesn't need the extra work.), no more standing guard over said pots in case of nasty boil-overs. Save those gallons of water and all that electricity you're wasting. Quit spending your life hovering over that pot, go read a book, take a shower, talk to your family, watch TV or buy more crap on Amazon! I just can't wait to see the joy on my son's face when I give him one for graduation...The best thing I've purchased in years!" —K. Byrd

Promising review: "This top fits me LIKE A GLOVE! The cami top is VERY supportive with an elastic band all of the way around the top, right under the bust, and the padding is actually very thick, unlike traditional like swimsuit padding. I struggle with swimsuit padding still showing nipples but these pads are beautifully thick to disguise the sight of nipples and also smooth out and support the breasts. I am thoroughly impressed by this top and plan to buy more in more colors. I purchased the black. The straps are NOT adjustable but are appropriate length. Since I am petite, most tops and bras tend to have straps that are too long on me, but this is perfect. I live in AZ so this is a great top to wear out an about in the 100 degree weather, without the need to wear a bra. I highly recommend! I could also definitely workout in this since it's so nicely form-fitting but not too tight." —Corndog

Promising review: "This stuff is MAGIC. During the summer months when it's 100 degrees, my eyeshadow & eyeliner would be melted into my eyelid creases halfway thru the day and I was having to constantly fix it. This primer will keep your makeup looking fresh for 24 hours. No eyelid creases ALL day and into the night. Even fell asleep with my makeup on and it was the same in the morning! This has become a permanent staple in my makeup bag." —Katie

Sooo...how does it work? It's simple: if the sticker is clear, you're in the clear (aka, your sunscreen is working). As soon as the sticker turns purple, it's time to reapply. Then after you do, it will turn back to clear.

Promising review: "After yet another bad sunburn even though I'm trying VERY HARD to keep sunscreen on, I bought these. First use was at Disneyland on a 90-degree zero clouds day. This helped so much! I kept an eye (as did my friends) on the dot, so we all knew when to reapply sunscreen and not one of us got burned. I also used these on a weeklong hiking adventure in Utah where it was also in the 90s with an extreme UV index. None of us got burned, so all in all this is one of the best inventions!" —Catherine Shock

In the progression photos above, you can see a reviewer before applying the sun milk, after applying the sun milk, and then the sun milk under makeup. It is a mineral sunscreen (and untinted), so when it comes to a white cast, YMMV — some reviewers noticed one, many didn't!

Promising review: "This sunscreen is a face saver. I live in Arizona where it is 100 degrees+ six months of the year. I wear sunscreen daily. I have finally found a matte finish that does not dry me out or leave me oily. I use this everyday under my makeup. A little goes a long way and if you allow a few minutes for it to absorb the white film disappears in to a milky finish. I've been out hiking and the sunscreen I put on my shoulders and chest still left me burnt while my face stood the test, amazing results. I wish they made this for the entire body but it is a bit pricey to go slathering it all over. If you are on the fence, try it. You won't be sorry." —Sunnyraes

Promising review: "I absolutely LOVE my air fryer. I resist the urge to get kitchen 'gadgets' because they're typically just countertop space hogs, but NOT this air fryer! We've been using it sometimes 3 - 4 times a day since we got it about 3 months ago. It's great for reheating leftovers without changing the texture — pasta, pizza, veggies, meats — I've warmed them all. I love not having to run the oven as often this summer. Sometimes when it's 90 degrees outside, I don't feel like turning on the oven and heating the house up. The air fryer cooks things like chicken nuggets faster + they have a crispness to the outside that the oven just can't do. There's some trial + error. You have to experiment and play with the temp, timing and position of the trays. The first time I did it, I seriously overcooked some chicken wings. Definitely open the door, and use a thermometer to check if it's something you haven't done before. It took some tweaking, but now we're at the point where our homemade chicken wings are better than the restaurant ones - and SO much cheaper! I can't say enough good things about this air fryer. Buy it. get it set up and just TRY it. It's intimidating at first, but every time you learn stuff and it's so versatile!" —EU

If you don't want to repot your existing plants, just poke holes in the soil and add!

Promising review: "If, like me, you live in a place where sun death rays can destroy a plant in record time... If, like me, you have to ignore 'classic' gardening standards that say that you don't have to water every day 'because it doesn't rain everyday'... If, like me, you literally laugh when advice from experts says to 'water once every couple of weeks once established' because that plant WILL be dead if you did that... If, like me, you live on the surface of the sun- buy these. I'm still confused by the directions and the amounts needed per plant, but I'm annoyed that I only now found this product! It has been consistently over 110 degrees for weeks, never below 95-100 even at night. These have saved many of my seedlings and small plants. For me, working these into the top layer of soil has created a barrier of sorts from the not only the sun but the intense wind storms." —Curious George

Promising review: "I love this product. My coleus were wilting every afternoon in the 100 degree weather. I put small columns of these water storing crystals in the dirt and voila, no wilting." —Susan D. Delaney, MD, MS, author

Promising review: "I like these PJs so much, I bought a second pair. With the daily temperature staying in the 90s for weeks now, this summer, these PJs are perfect for warmer summer nights." —Aniko Szabo

Promising review: "After suffering with menopause night sweats waking up several times a night in a pool of sweat, these PJs were recommended to me. The PJs fit loosely. The material instantly cooled my body. At night it pulled the sweat from my body allowing me to have a good rest. I don't know where the fluid went but my sheets were not wet. I will be buying several more pairs." —jcwg

Promising review: "Just in time for the 100+ degree temps in western Oregon! This was so easy to setup and fill. Within three hours we were cooling off from the heat. The bench makes this pool unique. The depth is adequate for keeping entire body submerged." —ross behrens

Promising review: "I used this umbrella on the beach when it was 95 degrees and there was a 15-mph wind all day. This small but mighty umbrella held up all day long and kept me cool. It clipped to my beach chair with total ease, and I loved that you could tighten it if it would slump over or the wind caught it and pushed it over on top of me. Instead of fighting it, I would just reach up behind me and tighten the clasp or angle the arms better so that it was more aerodynamic and still kept me sheltered all day. Without this, I would have been burned alive and dehydrated all day. Even though it didn’t cover me completely (which I was fine with but some people may want full coverage), it kept me cool and comfortable and provided enough shade for me to read my book and enjoy a lovely solo day at the beach. It also comes with the added advantage of not being totally terrified that it’s going to catch the wind and impale someone if it blows away. Also it is light to carry and so easy to fold up and store. Highly recommend!!" —Sara

Promising review: "Reside in Las Vegas with 110+ degree heat. Tried a number of men/women clinical strength antiperspirants with little effect. FIRST application I was in love. Promising review: "I'm part of the itty bitty titty committee and use these when I wear thin or white shirts. I bought another set (can't remember the brand, but from Amazon) that was still see-through and did NOT wick away sweat. These are AMAZING. I've washed them with gentle soap/water, air dry, and they've gone through at least 10-15 uses so far. I sweat A LOT. How much sweat? Marching band in peak summer type of sweat — it's ridiculous. These haven't come off of me any time I've worn them yet. I've worn it outside in 100+ degree weather in Texas (mild humidity) at outdoor events. What's REALLY impressive is that I wore them on a cruise in 90+ degree weather (Bahamas and Dominican Republic) with disrespectful humidity, and they stayed on! No awkward sweat rings through my shirt, just body sweat because of the crazy heat. It does collect sweat underneath but the adhesive works well to keep it contained until you take it off. Experience might be different for others, but these have been the best covers so far!" —Cathy Do
